I think most Americans do not know what a city without cars looks like.

You probably couldn’t reach the density shown in this futuristic city using car as mean of transportation. A future city with cars would look much less dense, and spread over a larger area.
Either that or it’d feel like living inside of the blood clot in someone’s heart.
@HiddenLayer5 @Austin_Skeldon They must have invented shrink rays.

Eh, it’s just an art piece. Useless skyscrapers and a highway. Pretty generic.
Mediocre generica
I love how they put those little patches of grass next to 14 fucking lanes of car traffic to make it look “sustainable”. This render is literally what the GM propaganda short from 1954 would be like today.
Imagine if instead of those inefficient traffic lanes we put a huge park with a nice artificial lake in the center, in true central park fashion. A couple of subway or tram lines would probably serve way more people than this joke from the '60s.
I thought the side roads might be elevated railway tracks, but nope. This is literally worse than Dubai.
Those are the ultra hyper express lanes. See, we started with the six-lane highway assuming that would fix traffic, it didn’t, so we added express lanes assuming that would fix traffic, it didn’t, so now we’re adding ultra hyper express lanes, and let me tell you when we’re done you will never need to know the meaning of the word traffic again!
The future: richer & rounder.
I see no bikes, so not the future.
Oh nice, elevated metro lines on the side… oh no.
