Just learned some wonderful news: Owncast, an open-source self-hosted live video and web chat server, is coming to the Fediverse via a NLnet NGIZero grant 🎉

Some of the ways they’ll federate:

• Follow owncast instances and receive notifications.

• Interop with #peertube so content shows in the UI, maybe searchable too.

• Build highly customizable directories and communities around owncast instances.

So I very happily added Owncast to the Activitypub Application Watchlist this morning 😃
