GenZ child actors / actresses are radicalizing super-fast… understandable considering its one of the most exploitative industries in existence.

I recently read Jeanette McCurdy’s autobiography, and its pretty much convinced me that adults should be playing the kid roles in all media. Even outside how exploitative the industry is, the consequences of popularity these ppl have to endure because of decisions their parents made for them when they were in gradeschool, is astonishing. They can’t have normal lives because of decisions other people made for them years ago.

I don’t know if I read here or somewhere else that anecdote about communists historically being able to radicalize bourgeois’ children since they often grow up distant from their parents, it comes to mind when reading this

The series has displayed a pleasant willingness to be a metaphor for a lot of historical issues with Anglo societies. I am aware it will be limited to, at best, shy leftism, but for now it not cringe imo

Agree, I noticed it also. I liked it for the most part, but only issue I had is the romantic plot, it just felt too forced for the sake of having it, she gave me aroace vibes since the first episode and I always related to her, especially in 1991/1993.
