There were thousands of protests around The West regarding the covid measures, with thousands of people attending and a lot of them erupting in violence between police and protesters.

But none of them were the start of a revolution according to the media somehow.

Yup. With the Canadian Trucker Convoy the majority of mainstream media portrayed them as whack jobs while with the protesters in China it’s suddenly an inspiring revolution.

  • “Posted by China Uncensored” You know it’s gonna be something “clickbaity, when the channel is called like that and when the length of the video is over 10 mins

As far as I’m aware there are chinese cartoons that look a lot like anime. I think one of them depicts the life of Marx though which is far more based than any other anime

Yep, it’s called “The Leader.” I was talking more about the fact (which reddit likes to cry over) that the Chinese versions of a lot of shows are censored or partially redrawn to comply with local anti-pornography laws.

Oh no, chinese people don’t sexualise literally every female character in video games and tv shows, this is literally evil CCP propaganda

Just reminds me of how liberals often have correct criticisms of the West and capitalism but have utterly no idea what to do about it. Libfem gaming journalists like Anita Sarkeesian are absolutely correct about the dehumanizing portrayal of women in video games, but the ending statement of all those critiques always ends up akin to “just be better”. China’s combating it! Take inspiration! Same goes for the predatory lootbox systems and baiting children into becoming gaming addicts, China’s dealing with it!

But nah, when China does something correct it’s fascist tankie totalitarian. We should merely wait for the invisible hand of the free liberal market to decide that misogyny and gambling addiction are not okay.

I’m all but convinced that liberals don’t actually want to change anything. Any social ill they come across is just an excuse for them to moralize and pontificate. If things were actually fixed, they’d have nothing to feel superior about, which would absolutely destroy them (most of them are actually pretty pathetic people in real life).

I’ve never been more certain of an op by a three letter agency in my life. I haven’t seen it in the news lately, so I have to assume that this little regime change attempt has failed.

To be fair, revolution is brewing in China, just not the ones these people would like to see. Instead, the CPC is increasingly tightening the rope around the rich of the country, actively battling all kinds of issues from poverty and inequality to environmental destruction, as well as trying to work the general population past bad views that have been held in Chinese society since forever, like racism, sexism, lgbtqphobia, etc.
