Say I found an interesting sub on a different Lemmy, is there a way for me to add it to my feed here?

    Push the search bar and enter either:

    • !community@instance.tld
    • https://instance.tld/c/community

    You should be able to see the community and subscribe to it straight from whatever instance you may be on.

      and to add to this, if you’re the first person on your instance to subscribe it will take a bit to synchronise all the posts, comments, and upvotes to your instance so don’t be concerned when it looks empty to you.

        Last 20 posts should be fetched innediately if there are no bugs, but no votes or comments. Other things will only be delivered to your own instance if you (or another user on your instance) subscribe to the community.

    Might also depend on this instance’s policy, whether to allow federation with arbitrary instances, or only with those in the allowlist.
