As of yesterday, GenZedong now has its own Matrix homeserver!
We’re beginning creating a matrix space on this homeserver. Hopefully in a week or so that will be ready to launch! If anybody has ideas or contributions, please let me know!!

Keep it unfederated with Discord. I do not think it would be okay to proceed with it.

I think keeping it invite only is a sensible idea. Users can communicate from other servers (I assume) and wouldn’t be disconnected from the
groupsrooms.

When I try to add the server it says:
You are not allowed to view this server’s rooms list
I’m assuming it’s probably not actually public yet.
How do I join?
Using a Matrix client (e.g. Element, either through a browser or by downloading it), you can change the homeserver to
genzedong.organd then make a new account. No email or phone number needed
Does the server have federation enabled? I can’t seem to access it from another homeserver.

Weird. Like this comment mentions, I can’t join any room or space because I can’t view the homeserver’s room list.
I will start moving the lemmygrad community over there, then.
I finished moving the communities, let me know if you can see them from the server.
