This is pretty cool looking, I will give it a shot. I generally use micro (https://github.com/zyedidia/micro#installation) which I know isn’t as fancy as vi, vim, neovim, etc ; however, it is dead simple and in my opinion is very intuitive.
Before switching to helix (to me its more intuitive and I like the design decisions it made), neovide was the only thing holding me into Neovim. Its pretty good, and fast too. Try it!
Helix looks cool - haven’t heard of this. Definitely will try it out!
@Kaidao @flying_platypus been using helix as my primary text editor for almost a year now and nothing has come close to it for me. Community is super welcoming aswell and contributing has been the easiest/smoothest experience in OSS ive encountered so far.
Only thing I’m really hoping they get done ASAP is a plugins system. That’d just make helix into THE editor for me. I want to learn rust anyway, but now I really want to just so I can contribute to the project…
