I don’t think these were the dark ages, if anything they were brighter than anything we have now and will ever have in the future. I would even go so far as to say that we are in the dark ages of the internet right now. While things were chaotic and ugly looking back, every page was unique and an expression of the creator. Now everything is material an flat and rounded and sleek. I like that design but you can’t deny that the creativity and uniqueness that the old web had is like nothing we have today. I guess the technical challenges lead to more wild solutions.
