Snow is a big reason i haven’t bought one. (Obv reason number one is lack of money)

I’ve heard rumors that they’re not the best in snow, but can’t confirm.

    I’d say that’s a wrong comparison. Higher speeds can be more dangerous, and at any given speed, cycling is the more dangerous.

      Why do you think cycling is more dangerous at a given speed? Because people wear protective clothing in motorcycles?

        Fatter tyres, better acceleration, better brakes, heavier more stable vehicle, indicators lights and a horn. Overall you have better control and maneuverability, and better visibility and communication.

        The exception is snow, where narrow tyres are better.

        But anyway just try riding each at 30mph and it’ll be obvious.
