Afaik it’s a euro-communist party, so basically socdems. Probably pro-EU, anti-Russia and pro-NATO. You just don’t get those kinds of vote numbers if you are anti-imperialist in Europe.
The KPÖ is the reason we are neutral, unfortunately they bacame kinda revisionist in the 90s, but still a better choice than all the others. They do good work, especially in Graz.
They did oppose EU-membership iirc when we had the referendum on it
Better than i expected then, that’s good to hear. Our own communist parties here in Germany have nowhere near that level of success, there’s only really the DKP who are actually principled communists and their youth organization is pretty big but their electoral success is virtually nonexistent. The other allegedly communist parties are either cringe Trotskyists or a super sus anti-China party claiming to be anti-revisionist ML and somehow getting inexplicably large levels of funding despite having almost no real membership which i personally suspect is a government op.
Didn’t they win last year? Side note: Austria has the best and most badass coat of arms out of any European country.
Absolutelly based
Wow, I’m surprised they kept the hammer and sickle (even if it never actually had anything to do with communism in this case)
It can be
What do you mean?
I pissed and shidded my pants
Now I’m even more lost
Amogus
Sussy baka
They also don’t usually deface Red Army memorials
Glad to hear, and yes they’ve won the elections a year ago with Elke Kahr being city major
Great! What’s happening in Austria, is communism getting popular?
Sadly not, Graz is the only city being communist
I hope it will expand in the future :) Here we are not lucky even for a small town or municipality, let alone such big city.

I only know the party as making houses cheap and trying to make Graz more eco friendly, unlike the rest of Austrian cities
Austria is not in NATO at least.
