It’s the thought that the Red Army raped its way through Europe. It feels like Nazi apologia, but I would like some hard historical evidence to disprove it. Can somebody help me with this?

I don’t have sources, because I really don’t wanna go searching for them.
But there’s little to no evidence that the Soviets forced themselves onto the women they encountered on their way towards Berlin. Meanwhile, though, it’s well documented that the Americans did, and were widely hated by a lot of the French.
And the ones who did do that where properly punished by the goverment.
It’s hard to prove that a thing didn’t happen. The burden of proof is normally on the person making the claim. What evidence is there for any kind of mass rape?
On the other hand, there is direct evidence of Stalin ordering his troops not to commit rape under penalty of death. The west likes to pretend that Stalin used murder and prison indiscriminately, but that he simultaneously was just joking about the no rape thing. Insert Parenti quote here.
