From an evolutionary standpoint, failing to reproduce is about identical to dying in infancy and this is what informs the relative strengths of our various biological drives. Persistent scarcity in the domain of any of these drives can be radicalizing. Evolution has built us to get aggressive when we’re experiencing a lack of reproductive success in order to compete more effectively for mates. Sexual frustration is becoming a notable contradiction in western society because of the atomization of society and declining material conditions of workers under capitalism. Marxists should actively leverage that to agitate and propagandize and not punch down on workers for the sake of engaging in liberal virtue signalling.
