Saying What Can’t Be Said: Israel Has Been Defeated – a Total Defeat

The war’s aims won’t be achieved, the hostages won’t be returned through military pressure, security won’t be restored and Israel’s international ostracism won’t end

I want to believe this is a 1980s South Africa moment. But for all the “wha! wha! Our international reputation!” I simply won’t hold my breath waiting for the 30,000 dead Palestinians and 1.4M refugees to enjoy any kind of retribution.

The killing hasn’t even stopped yet. The famine drags on. All the Israelis seem to care about is their next-quarter GDP figures. But for Gaza it is so much fucking worse.

Where do you think ex-Israelis and the fake jewish boers will go to if another apartheid regime falls? I see white people constantly go on about how North Korea is an epic ethnostate. Maybe they’ll try to flee there and get shot in the process

I desperately want to believe this will be like apartheid South Africa too; but not only does the Zionist entity seem to be much more committed to their project than white South Africans, the pressure from the outside just isn’t there yet.

Obviously the US and much of Europe will never boycott Israel. I think if the Global South made a unified effort then maybe that would work. But tbh, with much of the Global South we’re just seeing strongly worded diplomatic censures but no real material action. Not yet at least.

South Africa differs in one key respect. They wanted the Bantustans as slave colonies. Israel just wants the Palestinians gone.

Touch grass, this is a really marginalizing comment which ignores the experience of South African people during more than a hundred years.

I don’t get why there is the need to create this hierarchy of badness, especially without investigation.

This is like a: “Britta: I can excuse racism moment”

Yeah I read that as saying that Afrikaners had britain and the netherlands and israel to go back to, but Israel has propagandized itself into believing they have no place to go. It is total domination or death to them.

There are some factors that makes an end to zionist apartheid more challenging to achieve than the end to formal apartheid in South Africa. The concentration of white settlers in South Africa was a lot lower than in Palestine. The indigenous population has been made a minority in most of Palestine, something the South African apartheid regime was never able to do at any meaningful scale.

The South African apartheid regime was also weakened by military defeat, in large parts thanks to material support for African liberation movements from Cuba and the USSR. The Palestinian resistance is striking far above their weight and are inflicting heavy blows to the occupiers and although Iran is supporting them they are not able to give the same levels of support.

Yet another western “world’s-greatest-military” owned by what is allegedly just a bunch of untrained rebels with AKs. Rip bozo.

They’re trying to scapegoat Netanyahu though, very normal. Netanyahu shuts down Haaretz???

I hope Iran goes full 𝒹𝑜𝓃𝓀𝑒𝓎 𝓀𝑜𝓃𝑔 𝓀𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓀𝑜𝓃𝑔 𝒸𝓇𝒶𝓏𝓎. One more front is what the war always needed to look very different. I doubt Israel could adequately take on Hezbollah, let alone Iran itself. Things escalating will break the Israeli military and economy in ways they can’t get out of any more than Ukraine can.

It could also kick off a much larger conflict (unless America pulls an America and just abandons Israel entirely because it’s inconvenient zelensky-pain )

That’s exactly what I think would happen. Ukraine has eaten up the surplus of the things we’d need to fight a protracted war against Iran. The US Navy’s urgent priority is East Asia and they barely have the ability to cover that in peacetime. Support for Israel is becoming increasingly unpopular with the electorate, while Zionist liberals have been so weird and disgusting that I would never consider voting for a John Fetterman or Bernie Sanders. Only the US Marines are currently reaching their recruiting goals, and the first month of that war is going to produce drone videos that immediately turn off potential volunteers.

Iran would be such a serious near-peer war at such a bad time that I don’t see the US being baited into a general invasion to support Israel. Maybe they’re stupid enough but that’s the kind of war that would break the empire.

I always laughed at the US invading Iran. There is just no way America could actually take Iran in any way. The hills of Afghanistan turn into the mountains of Iran. Tehran is a fortress pretty much. There is no victory there, only dumbfuck Americans getting owned by a mountainside ambush.

Iran has the IRGC, an entire branch of the military dedicated to asymmetric combat. The Yankees would be getting fucked before they even landed and then every step of the way towards Tehran. If it was even possible to take Tehran the Iranians wouldn’t just give up either. It would be a historical farce if it wasn’t for the inevitable destruction the Americans would cause.

In the event of an open conflict, Iran will mine the absolute fuck out of the Straight of Hormuz which is where about 40% of the entire world’s oil supply moves through. It would devastate the global economy.

We’re definitely in the cool zone, but two superpowers directly fighting would be my criteria for WW3.
