    That ship has sailed. NATO and the liberal media have convinced anyone that surrendering or negotiations mean genocide of the Ukrainian people, Russia attacking Europe and China invading Taiwan. There is a good portion of Europeans and Americans who think global thermonuclear war is preferable to Ukraine negotiating.

    Russia has no choice but to grind down Ukraine slowly, like they have been doing, until Ukraine runs out of Western monetary support, weapons, and/or soldiers.

    Which is amusing, given the amount of supposed mechanisation yankee military has. Those trench digging excavators, those tractors for filling sandbags, etc.

    It annoys me perhaps more that it should when foreign press take a normal Russian word and slap it into the text untranslated so it sounds more strange and menacing. Maskirovka just means camouflage, masking, you dolts. “Kompromat” isn’t even a Russian word, and “dizinformatsiya” just makes my eyes hurt. Bloody journos.

    Surprisingly good.

    Ukraine couldn’t win militarily despite western aid, which as leftists correctly calculated, only slowed the conflict.

    Ukraine was pressed to aim for a total victory, no diplomatic attempts. That’s because of a perceived Russian weakness which wasn’t ever there. When pressured by a defeat, Russia redoubled their efforts instead of pulling out.

    Russian military and industry are vastly more capable now than at the start of the conflict, and western equivalents aren’t much more prepared, and Ukrainian equivalent lacks resources
