    Total speculation, but I can’t help but think this has got to be a factor of long COVID.

      It’s quite plausible, the fact that it never really clears from the system is pretty concerning.

      We don’t really know what the long term implications are at this point, but could be a reason for people developing long covid. Might also mean that covid stays in the system and could flare up again when the immune system is weakened.
