FWIW I agree, although admittedly I have used flatpak for applications that aren’t available on Guix System. I have shifted towards using a Debian container for that use case, though.
Between snap and flatpak I think flatpak is the lesser evil.
tell me more about this. i prefer AppImages over anything, but will use a flatpak sometimes. I resent Ubuntu’s past history of spying on users so steer away from snaps or anything else Ubuntu.
I know what a container is, but is there one just for Debian? I haven’t tried Docker, but will very soon. I had a VM up for a short while for work - their software only ran on Windows.
