It’s preferable for me to have capitalists at the helm because they didn’t destroy the economy and oppress political dissidents. No neolibs though, they can find their own spot of grass.
USA: becomes first world power in the span of 200 years, having come out of WW2 unscathed and able to lend money to the whole of Europe for purchasing US goods and services.
USSR: becomes second world power in the span of three generations, having to industrialise in 1917 starting from nothing, losing lots of infrastructure and 20 million citizens during WW2.
