Does it annoy anyone else that almost every car maker is fixating on big ass SUVs for their new electric models? Like, if I need a car (need because I live in North America with its ass backward city planning) and I want to go electric for sustainability, do I look like I want a bulky, heavy, and therefore inefficient AF SUV? Further, basically no electric SUV even have the option for a third row of seats, so it’s not like they’re beneficial for large families over a sedan. Basically the only reason they’re SUVs is because they’re “in style” currently, which is a bullshit reason.
FUCK YES.
The USA doesn’t regulate car design nearly enough, and these super tall vehicles with massive flat grills are demonstrably more deadly: https://www.iihs.org/news/detail/new-study-suggests-todays-suvs-are-more-lethal-to-pedestrians-than-cars
