    Mmm, right. Epic are fighting Google for us.

    If this leads to savings on the costs involved (assuming Epic do go back on Play), those savings will add to Epic’s profit and not result in lower prices for us. Because that’s what companies do. Epic are owned by Tencent, and just as interested in maximising capital return as anyone. This case is about Epic’s bottom line, nothing more.

    I don’t have any sympathy for Google either - Project Hug seems to exist to reward those who complain and goes against my personal level-playing-field principles. This feels like an honest result but to say this is a win for the consumer is a very cynical piece of spin.
