there’s an option to receive an email instead of a notification, which i personally don’t like. the other option is to simply tap on the bell icon on the top right of your screen, and you can see any responses, mentions or PMs.
but as far as i know developers won’t be able to implement push notification on android, because then they have to send them through google play services.
Check the site permissions on your browser, make sure notifications are allowed.

that’s a good idea to have a badge on the bell, maybe share it with lemmur’s developer? @shilangyu@lemmy.ml
but for now you can get rid of old ones by ticking them if you wanna see only the new ones.
