    Appears there was a chance for a good thing, but was preempted by Gates and his venture in March.

    a Gates Foundation spokesperson pointed me to a piece by its CEO, Mark Suzman, arguing that “IP fundamentally underpins innovation, including the work that has helped create vaccines so quickly.”

    It’s weird (as a non-IP owner) to see this appear here, I understand the work is valuable but would have thought that there were other ways to capitalize on this without slowing down the vaccine rollout.

    Ive begun to see things about his (Gates) work with farmers and seeds in India as well, so perhaps there’s a chance that more scrutiny will continue to appear.
