    Are there flatpak or distro-specific native versions? Snap isn’t the best way to install software on non-Ubuntu distros.

      snap works on all major distros. flatpak and snap serves equally, i prefer snaps due to their small size and update mechanism. and robust and simple CLI snap tool provide. packaging tool called snapcraft is also very powerful. their autobuild CI/CD is also better than any other option available.

      I tried to look, but the snapcraft developer site points to a github account. I don’t see utube in the repository lists. Which may make sense if he’s trying to license it.

      FWIW, snap worked on Fedora 31 for me.
