Welcome again to everybody! Make yourself at home <3 In the time honoured tradition of our group, here is our weekly discussion thread!

Also check out our telegram https://t.me/real_genzedong!

Subreddit archive is available here: https://tankies.la/archive and is updated through yesterday, however it is still heavily under construction and you should expect continued disruptions/changes in usability of the page over the coming weeks. Be warned, it’s like marxists.org level of web design as I’m only interested in it working, not its appearance rn.

Cheers

It is already a word in Dutch. We have one too for the day before yesterday but I don’t know how to translate it.

Apparently the similarly archaic English word is “nudiustertian”, but that doesnt roll off the tongue quite so well

Edit: oh wait theres “ereyesterday” which sounds a lot better

Which is also the literal translation in Dutch. Interesting.

        Edit: talking about ereyesterday.

The more I learn about different European languages, the more English starts to look like an outlier, not the other way around (as we are sometimes Led to believe). No gendering of nouns, no word for day after tomorrow or before yesterday. And it just keeps going.
