Yeah. My point being in terms of AI use, there aren’t really differences between lemmy and Reddit since the data is public. I don’t even see the point why this topic is relevant to privacy.

I wonder what’s different on lemmy though. At the end of the day, this platform is just another platform on the internet which almost anybody have access to. Sure AI use is not on the ToS. But anything open access is assumed to be privacy unfriendly anyway. If it’s the dm feature, it’s a different story.
Thank you! Great info. After some reading, I went with Rescuezilla which is yet another GUI for Clonezilla. I might give the foxclone next time!
Thanks guys. I went with Rescuezilla in the end. So far so good.
Thank you for the insight. Changes are incremental I suppose. You are correct that it’s more efficient. But I kind of want to back up the whole disk since I can keep a bootable drive with it right?
First time hearing of this. Any particular reasons?
I’m on a similar boat except I might have less time resource available in the future cause I’m getting a job.
Hopefully I could automate full disk backup because if something like Immich breaks, I can just load up from the backup drive. My family also use the services so… I think it’s great you brought up RAID but I believe when Immich or any software mess things up it’s not recoverable right?
This is something I should consider!
I see. This is more of a file system backup right? Do you recommend it over full disk backup for any reason? I can think of saving space.
Based. Yes. It is an option.
Ah huh! Thanks
I don’t get it. Can somebody explain what the catch is?
If you don’t have problem elsewhere that’s good. It’s well known bug that have been plaguing iPhone for many years though. And I believe this one is part of that. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/254742111?sortBy=rank
Mine does that too. Honestly I’d blame Apple for this shitty implementation of keyboard sound. This behavior is not only on Mlem.
I remember hosting server option was somehow paid.
That’s somewhat my reason for I decided to go with Joplin
I’m interested in this as well.
Sweet. I’d love that too over here. It’s a missing feature I guess.
Got it. No, tapping on the counter doesn’t do anything. Searching for the url also doesn’t seem to work…
This one is such an overlooked part of this whole dilemma. The problem is NOT THAT the official servers not allowing clients without kernel level anti cheat. It’s just we don’t have an option to host our own servers anymore and we’re confined to following the rules.
These days, I feel like the underlying problem with these kind of stuff is priority for the phone maker is on the feature that make them money while us, consumers, priority is on a basic functions working 100%of the time.
