This is because some people who aren’t as good at the game still want to feel like they earned all of the achievements. I feel that its a lot more inclusive and even though it feels more like “everybody wins a prize” I feel like if you truly love a challenge you shouldn’t need an achievement for doing it. I would rather have gaming be more inclusive than exclude some people.

from this i would guess wine is missing some libraries needed to run the application. Which one I am not sure, either DPAPI.DLL or gdi32full.dll. Wine often is missing libraries or implements its own versions which can have limited functionality. In this case I would probably use winetricks and try to see if they are installed and if not, install via winetricks and try again.
Does this game launch at all just using wine(not lutris just wine)? wine I believe is capable of running .bat files so I suspect if you try to run using just wine you might see some errors explaining whats happening.
It depends on what partitions are there. Boot partitions and other gpt/uefi stuff likely needs to be cloned exactly. For my system, the root partition uses lvm2 so I can just attach a new drive, add it to the group and migrate the extents over. This makes it easy to move data live without needing to unmount the main partition. The uefi/boot stuff usually is easy to unmount without worrying about what is running.
I agree about Twitter. I don’t understand how they intend to be profitable by making sure their users can’t use the website after 600 tweets read. This means less eyes for their advertisers, I would understand limiting within a short period of time like 600 in a half hour but 600 per day is pretty low considering how short tweets are. I can’t imagine they are going to be able to sell many advertisements without the users bothering to see them in case they run out of their daily limit.
for steam its possible for native linux games. Kind of possible for proton games(but its pretty ugly and I have had varying results). If you are playing steam games though, they are probably already using the steam cloud. If these are non steam games, I would install lutris and check the box making a steam shortcut. Then when you launch them it will ask lutris to launch them and the pre/post commands should run even though using the steam launcher. (I did this recently for some dos games I own on gog. I needed to start timidity before the game launched and stop it on exit so I could have a midi music server. I installed them via lutris but I launch them via steam.)
I imagine these were the same people complaining about their favorite subreddits being closed. Completely clueless over what was happening right in front of them.
About to start the Tex Murphy detective game called The Pandora Directive. Played the previous three games and hope to finish the series.

ps4 have a tendency to break down. At least I had one that randomly shut off even if it was in standby. Maybe get a PS5? At least you will be able to play new games along with older ps4 games.
Probably the best quake game with a story. I would argue Quake 3 Arena was the best in terms of popularity but as far as the Quake games with an actual campaign, this is probably the best of them. Quake 4 felt like a remake of Quake 2 but it wasn’t as fun. Quake 2 had a RTX version made as well which could be seen as a remaster. I wonder if its really just a remaster or an actual remake.

Currently playing through Borderlands 2. Its been interesting seeing the guy I played in BL1 show up in the sequel as a NPC. Also just finished beating Sekiro and Sid Meiers Pirates.
I recently played through the original version(non remake) on steam. There was a way to speed up battles / tools to add magic to your characters so you didn’t have to spend all day drawing magic. I would be surprised if the remake didn’t have any of this. (I used to leave chocobo world running when I wasn’t playing)
I liked it but found some parts a bit confusing for what was going on(I did finish the game). The game play was fun though, a nice mix of puzzle, floor is lava, and stealth. Since it was my first plague tale game, I went and picked up innocence from gog.
Like others have posted, I use Lutris. I usually have to supplement it with game posts on the protondb website so I know what fixes might be needed. Often they have some environment variables that might be useful or they list certain items that need to be installed via winetricks(or in steam’s case protontricks). Some games just don’t run but you can usually get a lot of them to run.
