While Firefox doesn’t natively have PWA support there is an addon that I use to add PWA support to Firefox. You have to install a helper program on your computer for it to work though so follow the installation instructions.
Dude, it’s obvious you don’t understand how lemmy or the fediverse works. You need to read more and maybe ask questions to clear up your misunderstanding before you go around making grand pronouncements about how lemmy should be run. A little bit of humility goes a long way.

You could run lemmy/kbin on your own server or VPS and have total control of your user account but that’s more involved than signing up on someone else’s instance.
The big difference is that when you go to a competitor in the fediverse you can still interact with your communities without them having to also go to that competitor (assuming the competitor doesn’t block them).
