I put together a list of open source CAD software a couple of years ago, but none of the options are quite there yet.

This was how I did it, or at least what worked for me. https://www.n9drb.com/notes/#ADSB feeding
In 2018 Wisconsin passed a new free speech on campus law to be better able to punish people who protested conservative speakers. This chancellor brought an adult film actress to campus as a speaker. He was admonished for it by the system president and had a pay increase withheld. So the “free speech” people responded exactly how you might expect.
I wonder if Delta Chat would work for you.
Sad end of an era. My mother has been using the DVD service from pretty early on. Her internet isn’t consistently fast enough to stream.
I’ve had some success using a basic tape measure yagi and a Baofeng. https://www.jpole-antenna.com/2017/02/07/build-it-2-meter-tape-measure-yagi-beam-antenna/
I have mine running on a Pi that has started having some issues so I might have to replace it but otherwise I like it.
Mine evolves over time but it’s getting to where I’m happy.
I can’t say for SOTA as I don’t do that one myself. POTA is pretty easy. Register on pota.app, then take your radio to a registered park and make some contacts. Definitely easier if you have HF privileges, but possible on VHF if you are near enough to a major city. SOTA might be more possible on VHF due to the presumed elevation involved.
Parks on the Air or Summits on the Air really helps with this. A standard exchange is usually used so no need to think of what to say.
Where I live, the ground water is cold enough that you need a heavy duty tankless if you want an electric one. The alternative is a gas version, but I don’t really want to add a gas appliance to my house if I can avoid it.
