“Degrowth” and “Keynesianism” are the tip offs for the western chauvinism.

I hate it when radlibs call developmentalist models in the global south “Keynesian,” either when they’re attempting to be sympathetic (Naomi Klein) or when they’re denying global south autonomy with psuedo-marxist language (as in this article).

I’d love to read a breakdown thread of this text if u ever fully detangle it. Maybe u could apply the same critical logic to Cauchy that Marx applies to earlier theorists.

I feel like the “standard model” of any field of science on some level betrays the often limiting assumptions foundational to that field, which makes a historical materialist approach to mathematics very intriguing. How to model change, whether mathematically or socially, is a very philosophical question.

I’m a big advocate for Fidel’s speeches. He doesn’t fall in with the “four heads” theorists, and those speeches were probably collectively workshopped by the PCC, but I think they have a ton of continuing relevance in the western hemisphere.

He didn’t write much, but he has hundreds of pages of speeches with some fairly unique analyses. Cuban delegations to international orgs (UN, NAM, etc) also reveal a unique approach taken by the Cubans in terms of foreign policy.

Like you say, there is no “Castroism,” it’s just Leninism, but the Cubans did diverge significantly from soviet doctrine in terms of international relations (and in my opinion they carved out probs the best approach to the non-aligned countries).

I’ve also heard that Fidel had a different approach to the vanguard party, but idk much about that. I’d have to see in his speeches where he talks about it.
