As Ukraine languishes, this is who the US supports instead?
U.S. likes tossing its ‘allies’ like used tissues. American support for Ukraine is not based on ideological reasons like to promote democracy or whatever (see 2014). Russians are dead, Ukrainians are dead, MIC made the $$$ however U.S. failed to weaken Russia economically, Ukraine lost 18% of its resource rich territories etc. If the western installed Government remains in power, it’ll have to sell off whatever public assets it has left to American corps.
US support for Ukraine makes sense in a selfish geopolitical move. Russia is now so weak they couldn’t possibly wage war against anyone else, for the low cost of enabling Ukraine to do what they wanted to anyways.
However continued support for allies is always dependent on political winds, and the US is particularly turbulent right now.
You misspelt “democratic elected government”. Easy mistake. Keys are right next to each other.
After decades of funding and supporting extremists that then create international deaths, poverty and humanitarian atrocities, the US still believes that they can make that strategy work.
Then complain and go for two wars when someone get angry and decides to do a terrorist attack against american civilians.
I wish them a merry 🔻
This is the best summary I could come up with:
Netanyahu thanked the Biden administration for its continued backing, including approval for a new emergency weapons sale, the second this month, and prevention of a U.N. Security Council resolution seeking an immediate cease-fire.
In new fighting, Israeli warplanes struck the urban refugee camps of Nuseirat and Bureij in the center of the territory Saturday as ground forces pushed deeper into the southern city of Khan Younis.
With Israeli forces expanding their ground offensive this week, tens of thousands more Palestinians streamed into the already crowded city of Rafah at the southernmost end of Gaza.
Some Democratic lawmakers have spoken of making the proposed $14.3 billion in American assistance to its Mideast ally contingent on concrete steps by Netanyahu’s government to reduce civilian casualties in Gaza during the war with Hamas.
Egypt, one of the mediators between Israel and Hamas, has proposed a multistage plan that would kick off with a swap of hostages for prisoners, accompanied by a temporary cease-fire — along the lines of an exchange during a weeklong truce in November.
Distributing goods is hampered by long delays at two border crossings, ongoing fighting, Israeli airstrikes, repeated cuts in internet and phone services and a breakdown of law and order that makes it difficult to secure aid convoys, they said.
The original article contains 1,135 words, the summary contains 212 words. Saved 81%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!
US is nothing but consistent in its support for ethnic cleansing from Donbas to Gaza.
