I’m looking into any linux clients that can also decrypt messages sent and received through cheogram on android. For cross-platform use purpose.

      what i meant was that whenever i sign up to my jabber account using any other client than cheogram, my past messages remain encrypted and it tells me that they cant be decrypted at all

        Yes, that is a feature of OMEMO called “perfect forward secrecy” where newly added devices cannot decrypt messages sent from before they were added.
