The best thing about wet socks is that I’ll die some day and never remember the feeling of wearing wet socks again.
I have MS, and one of my minor symptoms is I sometimes get a feeling on the bottom of my foot being wet (temp change basically), giving me a wet sock feel. Fuck that symptom.
Jesus this sounds horrible. May some future changes in medication help you with that symptom.
Just reading “wet socks” makes me cringe.
Stepping on wet carpet in thick socks.
Inb4: deleted for hate crime. Sorry not sorry.
You may consider foregoing children. Much like Thanos, wet socks are inevitable.
I’m right there with you. I spent 10 years working in the boreal and in peatlands. I have an indescribable hatred for wet feet. Nothing like getting a booter, and having to deal with that all day.
Sometimes you forget your spare socks, or a plastic bag which is more important

The best thing about anything is that I’ll die some day.
I fucking hate them. The best way to break in shit kickers is to put on wet socks and put the boots on over them, then wear them around for a while. They’ll conform really well to your feet and end up being super comfortable.
But I hate that break in process so damn much.
But if you die due to a puddle induced mishap then you will go to wetsockhalla where every day is spent in the battle against wet socks.
Yeah but I don’t remove my shoes first, that’s just weird.
Yea but switching from bathtub mode to shower mode changes the temperature by 30 degrees in a random direction
Clearly we’ve stayed at the same cheap hotels.
All of them are like that in my experience
My hope for you is that someday you find that one, special hotel that changes everything.
Oh I mean it happens at home too lol it’s never been super consistent between faucet and shower head. And I’ve lived a lot of places.
Surprise mechanics
Fahrenheit or celsius?
First one, then the other
Yea. But for god’s sake take off the socks before going in man.
Wife says the same. Apparently socks are an automatic desiccation switch for her.
No because the shower head uses less water so I switch to it immediately.
But it takes 2 more minutes to heat up. You end up wasting more water waiting for it to become hot enough
Sounds like you have a bad water heater or pressure problem
Yeah, why would it take 2 minutes for the pipes to clear between the hot water heater and the shower. Does he live in a 250x1 yard/meter house? Hot water heater on one side and shower on the other?
I would argue it heats faster because it runs slower through the coils
