I don’t know that any other nation involved in the conflict actually wanted Assad out of power. They thought the status quo would be maintained indefinitely.
Now none of them have a plan for what to do next because they didn’t plan for this eventuality.
Not at all surprised. Ultra-Orthodox Jews are a bunch of sick fuckers with really sick ideas about how the world works. In the U.S., most of them are Trump voters.
This is not a criticism of Judaism any more than me saying that the Jehovah’s Witnesses are a bunch of sick fuckers with sick ideas about how the world works is a criticism of Christianity.
Look at who owns the farms now.
I appreciate your optimism, but I think civilization getting wiped out by a giant meteor in the next four years is more likely.
On 9/11, Steve Buscemi, formerly a firefighter, son of a garbage man and a hotel worker, decided to don his old uniform and go back to his old station and help the rescue crews with no regard to his own safety. He worked 12-hour days taking living people and corpses (including the bodies of other firefighters) out of the rubble and did not bother doing anything like letting the press know about his selfless act. In fact, he said nothing about it. A firefighter posted on Facebook to thank him and that’s how the world found out.
That is a working-class hero.
Brian Thompson was personally responsible for causing far more deaths than what happened on 9/11.
They’re talking about Thompson, the guy that got shot. He is the one they are trying to paint as a working class hero because he wasn’t born wealthy. It’s just ignoring the reality of life in America and his part in it.
The cloud wasn’t the worst idea when storage was pricey. These days, I can get a 2 TB SSD for $100 and download a ton of movies and TVs and games and still take months to fill it up. A cursory web search tells me a 2 TB SSD can hold over 1000 1080p movies.
And if you’re buying a bunch of really big games, you weren’t going to put them on the cloud to begin with even when cloud storage made a bit of sense.
Sorry, as of January 20th, it’s going to be the new Ministry of Communications.
Someone is keeping track of the lies. There are a lot of them: https://elonmusk.today/
First lie on the list: 4,697 days since Elon Musk said Tesla will never need to raise capital again. Then a list of the many times since he said it that they needed to raise capital.
I just spoke to a time traveller and they told me that this idea of Scholz’s might not have been the most forward-thinking of plans.
In rural America, it’s much harder to get fresh produce, but there’s usually a Dollar General not too far away full of processed food. I’m sure that also doesn’t help.
They didnt vote for him
I know, right? I keep trying to find someone who voted for Joe Biden in November and I haven’t found a single person!
All those eligible voters who didn’t bother to vote at all who make up the rest of the country spoke too. They said they didn’t give a shit.
So again, seems like a “why bother?” situation.
I don’t know what the deal is with pulling this program now (although someone else said it was actually a way to block Trump from doing something worse), but he literally spent all four years trying to get through student loan forgiveness. His major plan was blocked by SCOTUS and he’s been blocked by other judges every step of the way.
And the fact that you don’t know that speaks much more about you than it does about him.
I have no love for Biden. I keep saying I hate that he’s been one of the best presidents of my nearly 50-year lifetime because that just shows the low the bar is. But he still did clear that bar on occasion and trying to do student loan forgiveness is one of them.
He can’t just make commands from on high and they get implemented, no questions asked. As Paddzr suggested, this is part of the reason why Trump won. People think the president is a dictator, which is why they elected a man promising to be a dictator.
In the future, please report the article. We don’t necessarily know the source is poor and we don’t allow those here. Thanks!
SCOTUS response: “what the fuck are you going to do about it? Now if you’ll excuse us, we have a luxury vacation to not pay for.”
If that isn’t a terrific metaphor for America as a whole, I can’t think of a better one.
These would be union workers too!
