    That’s still too neutral sounding. Why do western state propaganda outlets just get the label “government funded” but other countries’ media gets slapped with a “state affiliated media” label (a lot of the time even when it’s not actually true)?

    Also this completely misses the point that both the governments and the corporate media are controlled by one and the same oligarchy. All of them serve the same interests, the distinction between private and publicly funded is meaningless.

    They should start listing revenue sources. Remind people clearly where the bias of each account is. Oh The Washington Post wants me to shop at Amazon?

      They should also list the largest donors. E.g. The Guardian receives sums from Bill Gates, George Soros, and Fairfax Media.
