      You’ll also scramble your brain listening to all the conservatives trying to justify it. Basically, it’s because kids get allowances? So that means they should get paid less for the same work?

          It goes against the whole fundamental capitalist idea that equality of outcome doesn’t matter.

          Here’s the thing, you can discuss capitalist theory all you want, but at the end of the day, pure capitalism is about “no rules just profit”.

If I suggested that poor people should be given higher wages because they have less money already, they’d call me a crazy commie but somehow in this one context, having money from another source means you should be paid less?

    Don’t think like that. You should think about what you can buy with your wage after paying for rent, health insurance and other necessary things.

    You would think that anyone under 18 would be paid more by law so the companies don’t have incentives to use child labor. (This just me?)
