I’d like to get to growing my own food if only to save a bit of money (grocery prices are insane in Australia - and elsewhere I’m sure.) Herbs especially can be a pretty important part of cooking and are like $3/10g.
Herbs are very much worth it to have fresh! From what I’ve experienced so far, basil and green onions are the easiest to keep alive. I’ve read that rosemary and oregano are quite resilient too. Proper watering and having them by the windowsill is as easy as it sounds.
Yeah we have a neighbour that uses rosemary as a hedge but I’d like to have our own supply too!
