This is an opinion-based article about why I think the Linux desktop has not yet been adopted by the masses.

The package thing can be abstracted away for casual users by a GUI manager, which people are familiarized with because of mobile app stores.

Many Linux distributions use the word “Linux” in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.
