      Don’t see it on my instance. Do I need to rebuild the instance after opening up federation to everyone?

        Update your system clock, we’ve had problems with messages being rejected because of that.

        What system are you running this on?

          Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. When I run timedatectl status I get:

                     Local time: Sat 2021-09-11 01:36:13 EDT
       Universal time: Sat 2021-09-11 05:36:13 UTC

            Time zone: America/Detroit (EDT, -0400)

          System clock synchronized: yes NTP service: active RTC in local TZ: no

          I found the issue. I had added an instance to my block list. After disabling the block list I was able to see comments across instances. Also, the instance I had blocked doesn’t exist anymore, so that may have something to do with it. I’ll file a bug report in github.
