I found this coin some years ago, the writing looks chinese and some coins in east asia also have the square in the middle.
I would need quite a bit of time to translate all of the coin since I don’t really know much Chinese but a bit of Japanese, so I’m trying to find the hanzi by searching Japanese Kanji, but I would bet that it is some kind of charm rather than a currency, since it has those old kind of hanzi on the sides, it doesn’t have a currency symbol/hanzi or a number indicating its value, and I managed to translate 坤 which means “earth”, so you can bet it must be either a Buddhist charm or something Confucian related.
i have a picture of the other side, ill post it in a minute
Yeah, that is where I got the earth hanzi, I saw you posted it the other day, next time post it within the description of your post.
Unfortunately I don’t know of a tool like Jisho (which is for Japanese) to search hanzi by using radicals so I can’t fully translate it but I know it is charm.
i dont think you can in lemmur, the app doesnt get updated
I found images of exact same on Ebay. Its a Feng Shui thing. Search for “I-Ching Bat Coin”
found it thank you, i found this 5 years ago, when i was at primary school, but figured it was some money becuase thats what i searched for, appartently according to this video (https://yewtu.be/watch?v=YK2uaDgMw-A) its a religious thing (like tarro cards, palm readings, or prayer) im just watching the linked video so i can figure out what to do with it, but im not very religious so i hope that it does some kind of translations instead of “channeling chi” or “praying to X god”, but i might need more than one to “cast” the coin.
