I want to create stickers to advertise my profile. So I’ll need to get some pictures slap them into gimp, add the text from my profile and have the content be consistent with the presentation of my site.
I can do this. However, it is a little bothersome because I’m not too comfortable with gimp yet. I’m also thinking that in long term, it would be good for new users to have an easy way of producing their own stickers.
The input could be username and their preferred layout. The output is a standard profile that you can continue to edit through the software/service. When you are finished, you can download the file so that you can continue editing it in some other software (.xcf), or you can export it as png, pdf, etc.

Scribus looks appropriate! I could make a template to share with others.
Interestingly enough, Scribus icon in this list redirects to ~~http://scribus.org/~~, although the official Scribus page is https://www.scribus.net/.
Yes, I saw that uBlock origin blocked the site for me. So I websearched the software instead.

I’m running a instance for my town where I post what I’m doing and ask if people want to tag along. I’m thinking I’ll put them up in places where I like to hang out. Parks and beaches for example.

I’m talking about posting my profile, not toots. And I’m thinking more about traffic poles. Don’t want to put something on private property.

I think maybe https://www.canva.com could do this?
Canva is great. Unfortunately, completely proprietary without GNU/Linux support.
That could work, I’ll check 'em out! I could advertise them for new users potentially.
Although I’d prefer something more libre.
Inkscape’d be your best bet. Maybe the sk1 project will also suffice.
