When it comes to online censorship, few voices outside the Western mainstream are safe. Not even a US president. Now, this near-total lack of accountability among tech giants is pushing states to develop sovereign internet spaces.

      Yes, soon after when there is only one world united, with people who deserve to be named as Homo Sapiens, without misery, hunger and wars. Meanwhile there are only minority networks and large US monopolies that control all the rest, even the politicians we vote for.

      Exactly. They should rather adopt things like Mastodon, and Friendica in schools, especially in countries like Russia, Iran, Cuba and so on, hosting it locally, to lessen their dependence on US-based Twitter/Facebook.
