Intresting that microsoft has decided to bring android app support to windows. It will be cool to see a similar thing but open source and maybe built into a linux distro or unlikely a bsd distro but windows 11 looks like another microsaft proprietary winblows mess with maybe even more spyware who knows.

On one hand, I’m not too worried, since I don’t use Windows at home. One the other hand, I’m very worried, because I just know I’ll wind up using this at work. Windows and Android, together at last, oh joy. And is it just me or does the centered start menu look like someone misconfigured the UI rather than a deliberate design choice?

I hope they at the very least release a version of 11 that has most of the bloat removed, like they’re doing with Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC.

To download android apps , you will need an amazon account as well. I use Win 10. Gonna keep it for a while.

It’s called electron framework, it’s garbage but somehow usable

Did not think they were using electron for android apps on windows. I have heard of it before

Not on windows, it’s a framework for devs to develop apps on top 5 OS, it’s slow basically chromium+JS but usable
