i’m not going to explain why the firewall exists because its already been discussed on the thread. But VPN isn’t very hard to setup. You can login, click a button and it’ll unblock all the sites, check the github page.
Besides, if one person knows how to get past the wall, others will learn it as well.
GitHub btw is not blocked in China even though the firewall checker says otherwise. It used to be blocked until public pressure arguing that it stifles innovation made the Government unblock it.
Chinese censorship of search is often quite obvious, when you baidu for “VPN” without other euphemisms, it’ll show only the pro-CPC results.
Americans eat up whatever propaganda the mainstream media puts out without any hesitancy, not even looking at alternative viewpoints even though there is no firewall. Just capitalists propping up bullshit with tons of money.
