I think sometimes people praise and protect Israel because they don’t want to be called antisemitic. Even though it’s not antisemitic to be opposed to the Israeli government, libs think that any criticism of Israel is a direct attack on Jewish people despite the fact that the arguments do not in any way target Judaism or Jewish people.
