Man, I love how anticommunists can blame everything but their most mundane problems on phenomena that they claimed to have conquered decades ago. Yestermonth I saw somebody blame Poland’s current dilapidation on communism, and a few years before that I could have sworn that I saw somebody on Reddit’s r/libertarian blame Somalia’s current situation on communism, too. What about eastern Germany? Can they blame all of its current problems on us in spite of reunification? How about South Korea, which was briefly part of the People’s Republic of Korea in 1945? Hell, why not go all the way and blame all of Finland’s problems today on the FSWR all the way back from 1918? I mean, at this point, why the hell not? What’s stopping them? Try it!

30 years of “superior” system and still not fixed smh.

But seriously, what they actually meant is that despite socialism in Poland is dead since 33 years and we could also argue that dangerous trend begun in 1956 when nationalist revisionists taken the power, in polish political discourse every rightwing party (meaning every functioning party) is calling every other party “socialist” and “communist”. Well maybe except succdems, they are too busy apologising that they are even alive to accuse anyone of anything.

I will be the first to absolutely despise the taliban and what they have done over the last 40 years, but i fucking hate the phrase “educated and free thinking”, as it really is a one way trip to “the colonialists freed them” or “the colonialists educated them”… which is exactly what they want to do, I guess. colonize them

also, of course, the US bears a lion’s share of the blame for the current situation in afghanistan, but it’s been an overall really weird situation - even China supported the mujahideen back in the day. would be cool if it were still communist, as it was up until 1992 :/

Liberal hawks going “The Taliban is anti-LGBT and misogynistic, that’s why we should bomb them back to the stone age and install a colonial government!”

Obviously they should be ruthlessly criticized for their awful ideas. It’s up to our comrades and feminists in Afghanistan to revolt against the current order rather than imperial subjugation for sure. The “white man’s burden” still thrives to this day.

Well see if the eebill USSR hadn’t been mucking about in Afghanistan, we wholesome Amerikkkan imperialists wouldn’t have had to fund the Mujahideen freedom fighters! And they’re the ones who mostly became the Taliban! So it really is all the commies fault sweaty!

The Soviets helped to build the DRA’s infrastructure and political systems while the Americans were funding terrorists, yet the Soviets are to blame for Afghanistan’s current problems?
