this is basically what a lot of people seem to expect base minetest to be, a reasonably fleshed out MC alternative.

to play, setup minetest 5.3.0 or later and install via content > browse online content.

    this is probably the best minecraft alternative that i’ve ever stumbled upon, great to see it 👍

    although it would also be nice to see someone reverse engineer vanilla minecraft and then completely branching off from m$ minecraft with separate development to not have any dependence on them, kind of like vscodium is now completely independent from vscode with vscodium’s new separate extension store, this is a good “backup” alternative
