I get the impression that internalized racism is actually a pretty big issue among Eastern Europeans and it isn’t being talked about as much, especially compared to other racialized groups… Cuz a lot of the times, all this anti-Communism and Nazi simping I see from different Eastern Euros to me feels like yearning for Western approval… basically they want to become ‘more white’ and want to disassociate themselves from the ‘Asiatic horde’ as much as possible.

They don’t know. That’s the thing. And that is precisely why they start this young. This way the people will think “Oh Hitler and Bandera just wanted to fight commies, they had no ill will towards Ukrainians!”

In Poland our neonazis doing salute was explained as “ordering 5 beers” and “roman salute” - even, to unending sneering laughter of the public, by the court.
