    Obviously you can respond to stuff like this however you want (and let me be clear, I absolutely agree that the post in question was just. . . not anything. An article whose source was trust me bro? ooookay) but it’s not surprising your comment was removed, and in the end it didn’t help to explain to the confused onlooker why the article wasn’t worth anyone’s time.

      well yeah maybe i fed the troll responding to that post, its not worth responding to those types of threads in the end, they just want to see the world burn

        I can’t argue that the post was almost certainly not linked to in good faith, and the poster was definitely not going to be interested in hearing counter-points, but I try my best to remember that the comments aren’t for convincing the poster (not worth it, as you said) but to convince the onlooker who’s silently scrolling through conversations about topics they don’t understand.

        Those are the people we can reach and teach. Though, of course, in the process we’re likely to get a lot of bad faith responses that will trouble our blood pressure, so, y’know, pick your battles.
