If anyone can we could use some help testing a release candidate on the federation servers:
Basically just doing all the regular lemmy functionality and finding bugs.
This included massive API and DB changes that amounted to a spinal replacement for lemmy, so we wanna catch as many issues as we can before deploying, and releasing the API for clients.
How can I help?
Is it just opening a provisional account on those servers and playing around?
Yep. Just doing all the regular lemmy activities and making sure they seem like they’re working.
I made @nar@voyager.lemmy.ml about 3 months ago, and now, I’ve noticed one error. It doesn’t seem that lemmy.ml and voyager.lemmy.ml federate. Is this on purpose?
Those are just test instances, but I think maybe ds9 and voyager does federate here.
I think so, since Voyager is purely a test instance while lemmy.ml is a mainline instance.
