    The worst thing to me about this, is that you barely see anyone in the free software community who’s enthusiastic about OpenOffice. Most of its users are from outside the free software community, who still install it, because it’s that free office suite they know about.
    These users don’t care at all about the license. They just want the most modern, most feature-rich, most trustworthy office suite that no money can buy. And that just is LibreOffice.

    Sure, some might actually prefer OpenOffice, because it’s what’s they’re used to, because it maybe is actually more stable after stabilizing the same version for many years. But you don’t hurt these users by pointing out on openoffice.org that they should check out LibreOffice. And you don’t earn yourself more developers by keeping these casual users uninformed about a probably more suitable office suite.
