German Empire worship is just a neonazi dogwhistle for nazis that are too scared to put up the proper iconography (often because the local law forbids it). Even the german lawmakers know that and are often cracking up on those types.

the (former) Kaiser actually went on to support the Nazi regime. first he claimed he disliked it because of some perception of barbaric, atheistic violence, but later his only complaint was that Hitler didn’t reinstate him as king lol

Yeah it’s funny how all those junker types became nazis or supported nazis. It’s almost like definitive proof that the III Reich was continuation of the liberal-aristocratic system Marx, Engels and Lenin had so much to write about.

Liberal as in “procapitalist”. German Empire was capitalist system, albeit with a strong influence of aristocracy, and the very same aristocrats still supported nazis - and the 3rd Reich was still a capitalist country, in fact very capitalist, and so also within the definition of a liberal.

You must note we are using here the marxist definition of fascism - that fascism is the attempt of the bourgeoisie to held power against the growing proletarian organization, threat of revolution and their own waning power. You can compare how Stalin called socialdemocrats the moderate wing of fascism and how liberal parties across the west are now becoming increasingly more fascistic.
